Rebecca Neal-From statement collectors pieces, to domestic ware, decorative vessels, jewellery and outdoor works, Rebecca's ceramics are lively and colourful.
Her techniques include coiling, slab and wheel work. Favouring hand painting her ceramics with an emphasis on texture, she uses slips, underglazes and glazes. Rebecca adds a contemporary twist to forms influenced by a myriad of things, from ancient artefacts to images on fabric. The tranquil bird-filled Otaihanga setting of her studio also has a strong resonance on her designs. Her work can be found in collections around the world and she has exhibited throughout New Zealand. She enjoys sharing her knowledge, teaching from her studio, with the emphasis on small friendly classes. After 6 years on the Arts Trail Rebecca is delighted to see increasing numbers of returning and new visitors who are welcome for a chat, browse in the Gallery and the studio. Once again we are happy to offer complimentary refreshments.
