Leases on reserves

Council administers a number of lease agreements on reserve land. In some cases, Council is required to publically notify the lease proposals.

 

Waikanae Estuary Care Group, Takehe Drive, Paraparaumu

The proposed lease is for the use of part of the land situated at Takehe Drive, Paraparaumu and is for a ten year term.  Waikanae Estuary Care Group is a not-for-profit organisation that intends to use the land for activities associated with growing plants to aid its restoration projects along the Waikanae Estuary.

The land is Recreation Reserve and is owned by the Kāpiti Coast District Council. The public notification of this proposed lease is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Reserves Act 1977.

The proposed lease is for the use of part of the land situated at Te Ātiawa Park, Paraparaumu and is for a ten year term with two ten year rights of renewal. The Scout Association is a not-for-profit organisation that intends to use the land for activities associated with the Scouts. The Club has occupied the site since 1979.

The land is Recreation Reserve and is owned by the Kāpiti Coast District Council. The public notification of this proposed lease is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Reserves Act 1977.
