No8 Wire Week

 Get hands on these school holidays and take part in No8 Wire Week, our free/affordable programme that encouarges community resilience, DIY resourcefulness and environmental responsibly for all ages.

There are over 25 interesting, educational and family friendly things to do across the Kāpiti district including bike tours, food foraging, T-shirt upcycling, make-your-own body care products, building basics, tips for better mobility, learning about bees, rongoā and medicinal herbs, bike maintenance, seed swapping, DIY cleaning products, growing asparagus, jewellery making, sauerkraut, papermaking, fruit preserving, lawn mower maintenance, weed management, plantings and more.

This year the programme has four parts: workshops & excursions, a Repair Café, an Eco Art exhibition and a Pecha Kucha style community banquet.
